Practical Fundamentals - 3 days (FUND)
This course teaches the basics of what we believe a shooter needs to improve to their full potential. This is not a beginning handgun course. Students should have completed a basic safety/CCW class prior to attempting this course.
Practical Fundamentals may be repeated several times to further one's understanding of the concepts involved.
Controlling the trigger, with all platforms and trigger types, to achieve an accurate shot
Acquirring proper sight alignment, on a target, and allowing the shot to happen
Recoil management and making accurate followup shots
Efficient grip, presentation of the gun and shooting stance
Finding you personal sphere of dexterity
Reloading your platform efficiently and reliably
Transitioning between targets without wasted movement and placing accurate shots
Accurate shooting while on the move
Make a shot that will stun you with the ability you have aquirred
Skill Builder – 1 day
This is a condensed version of the Practical Fundamentals course and a prerequisite to attending advancded classes. Learn:
- Safety and muzzle awareness
- Stance, Grip and Trigger Control
- Hitting the target on demand
- Getting the gun out of and into the holster safely
- Reloading smoothly
Detail Strip and Maintence (DSM)
- Step by step Detail Strip of your Sig P-series pistol,
- Correct Spring Replacement
- Proper Lubrication and inspection.
Applications of Fundamentals for Shooting – 2 days (APPS)
Using USPSA Production and IDPA SSP divisions as our training model, the Applied Fundamentals Competition Course gives you the core techniques and training tools to maximize your marksmanship and expand your potential in practical pistol competition.
